Salon article about Skin on Skin a porno film produced by this UC Davis Professor, who is also interviewed here. This undergrad response to the film and its maker in the UCD student paper not super well written, but was what tipped me off to the film in the first place. An initial gut reaction - Hamamoto is made to sound vitriolic and really kinda stupid, yet I am sympathetic to the project that he sees himself engaging in.... well, off to the "Media Images of LGBT APIs" session of the Queer Asian Pacific Legacy Conference.
